Alturas Real Estate Fund Reaches $50 Million in Assets
Written by Travis Barney | May 18, 2017
The Alturas Real Estate Fund (the “Fund”) has crossed a key threshold as it reaches two years since its inception. Alturas Capital launched the fund in May of 2015. To date, the Fund has acquired assets valued at approximately $50 million.
“We have executed on our investment strategy even better than we had planned," Alturas Managing Partner Blake Hansen said. "We exceeded our own expectations in terms of the size of the portfolio and the returns we are generating for investors. Our focus on partnerships is proving to be very effective in generating quality deal flow and attracting capital to our growing portfolio.”
The Fund has produced exceptional risk-adjusted annual returns for investors with annual realized returns near 20% and annual total returns over 30%.
“We focus on cash flow, buying properties with durable income streams,” said Travis Barney, a partner in the firm. “We understand the implications of market cycles and we are preparing today for the next downturn by purchasing great long-term real estate at the right price.”
Alturas has invested in several real estate assets in the Intermountain West and Pacific Northwest regions. The company has a disciplined approach focused on real estate that can be purchased below intrinsic value with potential for growth and excellent cash flow. That approach has helped the Fund to reach its current asset level and poised for continued growth in the future.
