Alturas Capital Partners is seeking to add a full-time Property Accountant. This valuable member of our accounting team will assist with various accounting tasks as outlined below. Alturas Capital Partners manages a fast-growing real estate fund headquartered in Eagle, ID with approximately $550 million of assets under management. Job Responsibilities
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks for assigned assets, including but not limited to:
• Review and approve invoices within workflow system
• Process semi-weekly vendor payments
• Manage semi-weekly bank reconciliations
• Manage weekly cash flow spreadsheet
• Assist with tenant and vendor inquiries
• Process monthly tenant billings and other miscellaneous bill-backs
• Record all property transactions including monthly accrual entries
• Book weekly and monthly journal entries
• Calculate and reconcile property management fees
• Intercompany invoicing and accompanying journal entries
• Prepare and finalize monthly closing workbooks for assigned properties
• Review monthly closing workbooks of unassigned properties
• Generate quarterly financial statement packages
• Process quarterly partner distributions
• Assist with on-boarding of new properties and disposing of existing properties into the
accounting software
• Provide support to other members of the company, as needed
• Maintain a high level of professionalism with all tenants, vendors, subcontractors, and other
service providers
Requirements
• Capable of taking ownership and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work and collaborate in a team
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of Yardi software preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP a plus, but not required
