Alturas Capital Partners and Saranac Holdings have completed the first Take 5 location in Idaho. Located at W Quintale Dr in Garden City, Idaho, the oil change franchise is open for business.

Prior to the opening of the Take 5 located in Garden City, Alturas Capital Partners and Saranac Holdings completed their first location in Ontario, Oregon at the beginning of 2023.

Rick Pierce, Owner of Saranac Holdings is the Take 5 franchisee for the state of Idaho and parts of Oregon and Washington and the president of T5 Idaho, LLC.  When asked about developing Take 5’s in Idaho Pierce said, “The Take 5 business model really kind of fits the lifestyle and overall demands of the everyday Idahoan. The Take 5 model is fast, friendly and simple.”

The Take 5 business model is like a fast-food drive-thru, but instead of getting a burger and fries in a matter of minutes, customers’ car fluid is changed, and other ancillary services are completed while the customer waits in the car. Driven Brands, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, owns Take 5.

“We want to make Take 5 a household name when it comes to where folks want to go get their oil changed, where they know it’s going to be easy, quick, and hassle-free,” Pierce said. “Part of that is making the process as convenient as possible. And of course, a component of that is putting these in as many convenient locations as possible.”

With so much contingent on finding convenient locations, Pierce and his team have partnered with Alturas Capital Partners as commercial real estate partner with the ability to help him introduce Take 5 to the Treasure Valley. He decided to work with Alturas Capital Partners because his plans for Take 5 require a “long-term partner.” According to Pierce “We were looking for someone whom we could rely on for our growth as we continued to build out this market and potentially look outside the market.”

Pierce is not only bringing convenient service for cars to the Treasure Valley with Take 5, he is also bringing career opportunities with abundant growth potential. “When we look at how many locations we would like to have in the future here, we have a great opportunity for some of our employees to grow with us, take on more responsibilities and see success in their careers.” Take 5 has built growth opportunities for employees into their culture with the Take 5 “Pit Tech to President Program”, which operates on the idea that a technician can advance to a leadership position within the company. With multiple benefits to developing Take 5 locations in the area, both Pierce and Alturas Capital Partners anticipate bringing a flexible option to the automotive services industry.
